Rebiffing it up, right-nice.
Hello!
I had the Rebif nurse come to the bakery and tell me all about my new medication and all the side-effects and I did my first shot yesterday! At first I was all excited because I felt great. But THEN.
Dun dun DUNNN! Massive want-to-kill-myself headache and double vision and light sensitivity. Five hours later?! pffft.
But! I get to do it three times a week and I think I love that idea. So! As discussed with the nurse, I'll do it at night with a tylenol therefore I will sleep through the side-effects.
I heard the first month is the worst of it, so pray for me! I am also expecting flu symptoms but I'll update as I get them.
She also told me she does not know how I got to see Dr. Edwards, but I am extremely lucky to be seeing him and she was wondering how in the world I got in. ???? Whelp. I said "My neuro at Bassett referred me and I said yes!". :) Yay for nom nom. Although I do miss my neuro at Bassett and I LOVED going there. The nurse was gushing about him and she said she feels bad for people that don't get to see him and she wishes she could do something about that, so I am super special! I can tell he sure knows what he's doing, as he is an MS specialist, not just a neuro. He does studies and I've tried reading some things he wrote in like, medical journals (or something like that), but alas, I am but a simpleton. :D
***brief interlude***
Hmph. That was part of me with curly hair on Thanksgiving taking pics with my new MOTOX. Go me!
Yup. Still not doing the camera right. But look at that awesome eye-shadow job. Go nom nom.
So! I have my fingers crossed that I will feel better after about 6 years of feeling lousy and reducing my standards to an unholy unhealthy level. I realized today that the rare (and by rare I mean three times per year) times I do go out, I can usually do about one store and I'm done. Beat! Can't fathom going to TWO stores. Pfffft.
So! Positive thinking will help I think, and the nurse lady explained how Rebif works and it makes sense to me! I am excited. YAY!
Okay, I have to go put more decorations on the tree!
Love always,
Jaime Lee
